Last updated Beta version

This is the beta version of this page. Blitzscan is in a closed, invite-only beta, and this page will change before a wider launch.

This policy explains what Blitzscan, run by Blitzscan Labs (we, us), collects during the closed beta, why, who else handles it, and how long we keep it.

What we collect

  • Sign-in details. You sign in through our authentication provider. With Google, we receive your name and email address. With a wallet, we receive your wallet address; you sign a message to prove you hold it, and we never receive your keys. We also record how you signed in (Google or wallet, the wallet app) and the kind of device (desktop or mobile).
  • Questions and answers. The questions you ask, the answers Blitzscan gives, your threads and settings, and records of how each answer was produced, such as the data queries it ran.
  • Feedback. Ratings on answers and anything you write to us through the feedback button, with the page it came from.
  • Usage telemetry. Product events, such as sending a question, choosing a suggestion or starting a session, tied to your account or to an anonymous session. These go to our own servers.
  • Before you sign in. A cookie holds an anonymous session so the free trial questions can be counted. To limit free questions per network we keep a coded identifier for your network, not your IP address. If you then sign in, those questions move into your account.
  • Access requests. If you ask for access on blitzscan.ai, the email address and note you send.
  • Technical data. Like any website, our hosting processes your IP address, browser and request details to deliver and protect the service.

How we use it

  • to answer your questions and keep your threads, shared links and settings;
  • to run the beta: invites, usage limits and the free trial;
  • to prevent abuse and keep the service secure;
  • to find and fix problems and improve answer quality, which includes people on our team reviewing questions, answers and feedback, and using them to test the product;
  • to contact you about the beta and your access.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

We use service providers to run Blitzscan. Each handles only what its part needs:

  • An authentication provider, for sign-in, and Google or a wallet connection service when you choose them.
  • Third-party AI model providers, which receive your question, the earlier turns of the thread and the data needed to answer it, and process it under their own terms.
  • Blockchain data providers, which receive the on-chain lookups needed to answer, such as an address or a token. We don't send them your name or email.
  • Cloud hosting, which runs the service and stores its data in the United States.
  • A documentation host, which serves our docs at docs.blitzscan.ai under its own privacy practices.

We don't use third-party advertising or analytics trackers on blitzscan.ai or in the app. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the service, our users or others.

Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries to keep you signed in, to count anonymous trial questions, and to remember preferences such as your theme. None are used for advertising.

How long we keep it

Beta data is kept. During the beta we keep accounts, questions, answers, feedback and telemetry so we can improve the product, and accounts and their history can't be deleted. Clearing a thread removes it from your list; we keep a copy. Turning off a shared link stops it working straight away.

We will set retention periods for the wider launch and update this policy then. Where the law where you live gives you a right to have your data deleted, that right still applies.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to object to how we use it. Write to us at support@blitzscan.ai and we will respond as the law requires.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, such as encryption in transit and access controls. No service is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee it.

Age

Blitzscan is not for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top says when it last changed, and when a change matters we will tell you in the app.
